Pakistan ranks among the worst countries globally for gender equality. In the World Economic Forum’s
Global Gender Gap Report 2025, Pakistan ranked 148th out of 148 countries, reflecting deep and
persistent inequalities in women’s economic participation, education, political representation, and
access to opportunity.
Women continue to face systemic barriers to education, technology access, mobility, and economic
participation. Women remain significantly underrepresented in the digital economy, with limited access
to digital skills training, employment pathways, and opportunities for long-term economic
empowerment.
AuratTech was established to address these gaps through a rights-based and trauma-informed
approach to women’s economic empowerment.
Our theory of change is grounded in growing evidence that holistic programming creates stronger and
more sustainable outcomes for women and marginalized communities. In Pakistan’s social and
economic context, technical skills training alone is often insufficient. Many women navigate structural
inequality, restricted mobility, legal vulnerability, gender-based violence, and ongoing mental health
challenges that directly impact their ability to access and sustain economic opportunities.
For this reason, AuratTech integrates digital skills development with rights-based education,
psychosocial support, and trauma-informed programming. We believe that advancing gender equality
requires creating safe, accessible, and supportive learning environments where women can build both
technical capacity and personal agency.
Mission
AuratTech advances women’s economic empowerment in Pakistan through digital skills training, AI
education, trauma-informed support, and rights-based programming for underserved communities
Vision
We envision a Pakistan where all women have equal access to digital education, economic opportunity,
and the ability to participate fully in the digital economy.
